Travelling to manchester tomorrow help

    Drove over a few weeks back and it took hours on the A628. Has anybody been over lately? Going tomorrow at 2pm. Any advise

    Go over through Holmfirth, over the tops using the A635 (Holmfirth Road) and drop down into Oldham. I've been using it a couple of times a week for over ten years now and it is by far the best route IMO.

    I've just this moment got back in having driven back from Manchester City Centre to Wombwell.......beware A628 was closed for roadworks, so suggest you check whether this route is open (may be night only roadworks). Had to use A57 Snake Pass.

    Used Rio Ferdinand's restaurant......ROSSO......bit pricey, but good food and venue.

    Like this but go via Ashton, droylsden and past CMOS instead of Oldham

    If in city you could even consider tram from droylsden
