Re: There's an easy solution, mate

No-one that I can see, but the same people keep saying it happens everytime we lose(which to be fair pretty regular), although I dont see these posts!!

It is a tactic that deflects the emphasis away from the managerial faults, onto the fans! Very similar to the way this Government deflect the blame onto, the unemployed, disabled and foreigners ! If you repeat something often enough , people start to believe it!

    Don't want him sacked.

I do however wish that mo or Ben or any fecker would have a quiet word and suggest he picks the team based on ability, not on whether they happen to be his mates.

And also suggest he speaks in plain English rather than sound bites of pretentious bullsh*t. Too much like his old boss.

Ok, slightly melodramatic tonight. Although people were saying it pre-Huddersfield.

Let me rephrase. Same people who say every year we will be down by easter. And every year they are wrong. They will be right some time, and will say told you so, ignoring they have only been right through the cyclical nature of football.

It's polarising and destroys this board because people become entrenched and feel incapable of making valid criticism as it appears to be adding credence to the posters who just wait to pounce every time we fail to win

Paddy McCourt, his mate from Rochdale (2001-2005) didn't even make the bench.

'Playing his mates' argument goes out the window.

So because he didn't pick all of them the argument is wrong?

Yeah course. Behave. Why did he sign him in the first place do you reckon?

Meanwhile we have Dawson and Perkins playing every week recently, with cywka and mellis on the bench. Don't mind that as such, especially away at sides like forest - but still. They are in terms of technical and creative ability the best we have, and are sacrificed for what? I like Perkins and Dawson. And etuhu. Don't see how they all play in the same team week in week out though.

He has signed and is playing a goalkeeper who is over 40 and as proven in his games so far of limited ability. Steele was out of form, ok. See the logic in binning Alnwick and bringing in credible competition. But what have we seen in Mike Pollitt to suggest he's a better bet? And why was it Pollitt who was signed? Because of his form over the last few seasons? Aye course.

Scott wiseman is in and around the first team week in week out and to me appears distinctly average. He refuses to consider hassell, fair enough if he doesn't rate him. But if he can sign a 'replacement' for the goalkeeper and play him, why not the right back? He bloody signed one in Ramage and dropped a centre half for him.

Managers live and die by their decisions so I see why he'd pick players he trusts. But what is the point in keeping players at the club if he wont play them when the ones getting picked are not getting results?

Do you genuinely believe that Pollitt is better than Steele, Dawson than Mellis or Cywka, Wiseman should be in the side over Crainie when Ramage is available to play right back? And why do you think these decisions are made?

They are flickers decisions to make. I'll support him and the team no matter what. But he is turning worryingly into his predecessor IMO.
