Who seem to think that effort is a good substitute for ability? We have some of the most limited players in the division yet people value these players because of their perceived ability to "put a shift in". I wonder if fans of other clubs are the same?
The Germans have won a few World Cups with effort (combined with organisation)rather than the teams with the ability who've fallen by the wayside.
I don't think so. Look at any other teams message boards and you'll find people will excuse a lot providing that a player is showing effort and commitment.
