Picked a great day to come, weather much better today than at the weekend. I'm just off to visit my Mum, she lives in a care home near Boscombe pier.
Long day on the sauce tomorrow, hoping to be blind drunk so I have little recollection of the game come Wednesday morning
Yes me!! Hair and beard By the way do you have any suggestions about where to park - I remember parking in their car park a few years ago and taking nearly an hour to get out Do you know if there is there street parking within a 15 min walk or so or do all the roads get no parking imposed on match days
I have just looked and apparently there is a car park a few minutes from the ground on the other side of the Dual carriageway - King's Park Car Park and free from 6pm. Bonus!!!
There is a big car park next to the ground (Kings Park) but it is a slog to get away after match. There is quite a lot of street parking within 5-15 minute walk to the ground. If you come into Bournemouth on the A338 dual carraigeway, come off at the junction for Kings Park/Football (clearly signed), you then turn left at the mini roundabout, onto Littledown Drive, you can then street park on the left on Littledown Drive, Leeson road, Gainsborough road or Harewood avenue/crescent, all of which are ten minutes walk. I have NEVER seen Harewood avenue fully parked up on a match day. Obviously, the earlier you arrive the easier it will be. There has been so much talk about hair (started by me) that I am now self conscious ! Think I will wear a hat !
Not sure if this has already been asked or covered previously, but does anyone know how much it is to get in tonight? Cheers
Perfect - I think Kings park is where I parked once before and nearly read a book whilst waiting to get out after the game Is anyone planning a pre match pint and if so where- I expect the London Tykes are just drinking on the train but I hope to be in Bournemouth around 6:30 - 6:45 traffic permitting so might have time for a quick one if things go to plan
None of the Boscombe pubs are away fan friendly.... cant really recommend anywhere close to the ground... they may be OK but I can't vouch for any... Sorry
