Hard to single out one individual however as a team I would go,

    --------Muller
    Trippier Shackell Cranie Golbourne

    Hammill DeSilva Howard JCR

    ------O'grady Vaz Te

Subs- Steele, Stones, Shotton, Perkins, Butterfield, Drinkwater, Davies

    Tough question

Best player based on what he's done after leaving us would have to be Vaz Te
For me on a personal level the most exciting player to watch was Jamal Campbell Ryce
Over the period, the most consistent player has to be Hassell, which right now is kind of ironic.

It's interesting how opinions vary because I wouldn't have Shackell anywhere near a best XI since coming back to this level.

Anderson for me too, on his day he was pure class. Vaz Te pushes him very close though. Sir Bobby wins hands down for how he has performed over the years, but he isn't the best player which is what this thread is about.

Vaz Te and Hammill are the 2 best players by a stretch I think

    Muller
    Trippier Shackell McShane Dickinson
    Hammill Anderson Butterfield Howard
    O'Grady Vaz Te

Subs: Steele, Hassell, Cranie, Perkins, Colace, JCR, Davies

I really wanted to put Stan in, but couldn't find a space unfortunately

Considering I've missed Foster out of that XI I'd happily swap 'em!

Golbourne was fantastic last season playing at left back. He would have been player of the season if he didn't get injured. Much better than Heckingbottom, Mcev and Dickinson in my opinion.

It shows how poor we have been at LB when Dickinson is making the best 11. Great with the fans, very limited as a footballer.

That's the beauty of opinions, old mate

DusThaNoIII asked for a best XI since promotion, I gave mine and it's up to others to select theirs if they so wish. I fully accept there will be differing opinions to mine, but as the team selected is a personal choice, other viewpoints are irrelevant.

    Muller
Stones - Crainie - McShane - Trippier (pretty sure he could play both sides!)
Hammill - Anderson - Perkins - Howard - Vaz Te
    O'Grady

Subs: Steele - Hassell - Etuhu - Butterfield - Davies

Can't help thinking that people are saying Hassell based on sentimentality.

    My team

    Muller
    Shotton Cranie Shackell Dickinson
    Hammill Butterfield Drinkwater VazTe
    Howard
    O'Grady

    A more interesting thread/post might be WORST 11 :p
