There's an awful lot of negativity on here at the moment

    And I suppose it's understandable.

I'm feeling much more positive than the vast majority, I don't know if it's because I haven't been able to go to a game all season, and tomorrow will be my first, or what it is. I can't wait for tomorrow, there's no replacement for a Saturday afternoon at the football; the whole experience from waking up in the morning, to reliving the days triumph/trauma on the FL show at night, is something I used to always look forward to, all week long. I've missed going to Oakwell, and I'm looking forward to the game tomorrow, despite the fact that I feel it's going to be a very difficult game, which on paper, we probably shouldn't win. I don't care. I may feel differently by 5pm tomorrow, but I just don't understand all the whining and complaining after what has been a poor run of form.

The players ARE good enough, they were last season at least, they don't just become bad players over night. Towards the end of last season, we were high on confidence, which in turn, produced good results, which in turn kept us in the division. The international break came at an awful time for us, what we needed after a victory over a local rival, our first victory of the season in fact, was another game, no more than a week later. The international break broke the momentum we were building.

I feel 3 points is all we need to kick start our season, just something to instil a bit of confidence. Dawson, Dagnall, Etuhu, Wiseman, all players who finished the season off well. Our problem at the moment is that we have too many players suffering from a dip in form. We haven't been able to keep a balanced side because of injuries and suspensions, particularly at the back, which I feel contributes greatly to the number of goals we have conceded.

We have to remember that Flicker is pretty inexperienced as a manager, I just hope he can learn from the mistakes he has made. As someone rightfully pointed out yesterday, we went into every game last season knowing we needed to win, this year we've set up not to lose. We need to go for the win, regardless of who we're playing, what will be will be.

I may be a little wide of the mark here, however I've tried to base my opinions on the fact that I haven't seen a single ball kicked this season, other than the highlights I've watched on player. Therefore I've based my opinions around what I've read on here; which probably isn't a wise move.

Just have a little faith, after all, we could all have been born blades.

'I feel 3 points is all we need to kick start our season, just something to instil a bit of confidence'.....we got 3 points against Huddersfield, we need a run of 3 or 4 games unbeaten , viewing losing by one goal as some sort of achievement is just depressing

I admire the positivity having been to every game thus far mines fading a little. No cohesive play no strategy. Letting the opposition dictate.

Of the players you mention. Finishing the season well Dagnall went off the boil after February and shows no sign of even simmering.

Dawson was injured from February came back and got sent off. Not exactly ending the season well.

kelvin is struggling with form after injury

    wiseman has been consistently good.

We need 3 or 4 clean sheets and a couple of wins in consecutive games. They will be tough to come by unless we play the best formation for the players we have and stop worrying about the opposition.

"wiseman has been consistently good" ...... apart from letting Henderson have a free header 6 minutes from time to win the game for Forest last weekend.

This is the issue right here (along with players out of position).

Most of this forum can take it if we lose when we have had a right go at the other team.

Simple fact is, apart from 2 "halfs" this season we have done the exact opposite (set up to contain/not lose). And that is what is grinding so many gears.

The quicker flicker realises this the better, if he doesn't, it will only go one way and he will get all he deservers. (and unfortunately it will send us the wrong way).

Lets have a go at everyone, I don't care if we play away at the league leaders. Going in not to lose, we will generally lose.

We are a stronger side than last year, and I refuse to believe we will end up cut adift. Its all in flickers own hands, and the thousands who go week in week out are reliant on him understanding what we want to see. And thats the have a go attitude, no pissing about what we all saw in the 2nd half of last season. It WILL bring results. Go on flicker, I dare you. If you ultimately lose your job because it fails, I don't think many will berate you for it. However, many will berate you if you stick to the tactics we are currently employing.

That's not hard is it. Never be a centre half while he has a hole in his arse

Not hard but still true and no he's not but of the many out of position players he's making the best fist of it.
