But you're not going to get an answer, that's the point. If the true answer is "I don't rate Bobby Hassell" he isn't going to say so because its not what he does in public. If the answer is "I personally don't like him and was forced to offer him a deal" he's certainly not going to say it. That's what I mean by it being boring. I don't think your up his arse mate, I completely understand why you are interested. I would be too. Some think Hassell should start, some that he should be in the squad, and others that he should be neither. It's opinions. Flitcroft's opinion is evidently the latter for whatever reason and I personally don't think he should have to publically justify it. Maybe that's why it doesn't get to me? Maybe its just a consequence of 24 hour media and the internet that we all expect to know everyones reason for doing anything immediately?
Ah well, as I keep saying, the decisions are his to make and they are what will determine his status.
"But you're not going to get an answer, that's the point. If the true answer is "I don't rate Bobby Hassell" he isn't going to say so because its not what he does in public. If the answer is "I personally don't like him and was forced to offer him a deal" he's certainly not going to say it." This^ Radio Sheffield asked last year and got short shrift. As will anyone else who asks. I personally don't agree with Flicker's assessment of Hassell and I'm not sure I like his attitude towards him, although that's just a feeling I get, I have nothing to back it up and I could be miles off. However, I don't really want our manager being badgered about it and I certainly don't want him pushed to the point where he slags off one of our players in public. Not that I think he'd do that, but everyone cracks eventually when pushed far enough. It's obvious our manager doesn't rate him, certainly not as highly as his other defenders, and while lots of us may disagree with that, he's the manager at Barnsley for one reason: he's a hell of a lot better at the job than any of us would be. That shouldn't stop us debating the point on here, but I don't think it would do anyone any good to push a journalist to ask the question. Feel free to ask him yourself should you ever meet him. I won't be doing that as I quite like my face the way it is.
i find that remark both racist and offence i got banned for less at the end of the day i have present a fact and you dont like it
You won't. Because Bayley won't be there. But have fun, and keep up the tall tales. We find it amusing if nothing else.
