Odds dropped from 16/1 this morning to 1/2 now. In front of Freedman and Jones now. I do hope they don't know something we don't. I hope he lives to fight another day, but im not sure he will.

    What Newspaper article?

Seems to be a huge swing today but also I expect the reason is that there are a lot of people suddenly backing him to be axed - I doubt anyone at BFC have passed inside info to the bookies thats for sure

we all know the meeting was planned before the watford game ... but if things were bad enough for a "crisis" meeting then im sure after such a poor performance then he could well be struggling

Its purely because its been in the papers that he's in trouble. Bookies dont have any special information or anything.

Flicker was 25/1 to be next Barnsley manager hours before he was appointed.

My thoughts (and they are only that, not based on any substance) is that it's just a regular meeting that they have between the board and the management. Probably don't happen weekly as Watkins and Cryne aren't around, but the Chronicle/media/fans have built it up to a 'crisis' meeting. I'm sure they'll discuss how the team are doing, as they would do at any meeting I'd assume and it happens to be that at this one we're doing badly. I'd be flabbergasted if he goes today, and pretty angry too. Deserves a longer shot to turn it around.

if they do sack him which i hope they dont , how long would they give the new boss ?. 8 games again ?, seems a bad idea to me to replace a manager 8 games in to a season

International break after the QPR game, so if he is to be sacked, the board will pull the trigger then.

Exactly. Plus remember last time no one wanted the job to start with so it's highly unlikely we're going to get a top class replacement.

I think Flitcroft added the "crisis" label

Why? Financial constraints haven't changed and we'd have just sacked a manager who until 8 games ago was the messiah. Hardly makes us an attractive proposition does it?

They would be mad to fire him now. 3 very hard games. A new manager just as likely to lose them, with a two week break after the third match.

Give flicker your backing. If he manages to sort it out and somehow get 4 or more points then hopefully it's onwards and upwards. If we get beaten/hammered then pull the trigger with a manager that you have sounded out the next two weeks ready to take over. Two weeks to know the squad and easier games to get off to a good start.

I hope flicker can once again prove to produce miracles. Think he needs to over the next 3 games.

I'd give him a better chance than Don

and with Watkins available to chip in, I'd be much more confident actually.
