1, is he competent at this level & what does the evidence say? 2, is he credible & what is doing to demonstrate this? 3, what are his intentions are they positive & how is he demonstrating this? 4, most important is he getting results? Obviously the final point is the rider but if look at the other 3 points it will lead you to right answer...
He can't see whats wrong, so he'll never put it right, Here's another 4 things to consider, wile ever he continues not to work on the following 4 in training We're never going to score from a corner, We're never going to keep a clean sheet, Our midfield duo of Ethuh, Perkins, are never going to have a shot from around the area we're attacking even when its the best option, Our defensive players are going to continue to be drawn towards the ball leaving men unmarked in danger areas
1/ He was competent enough in keeping us up last season.so yes hes competent enough 2/ He is one of the most credible managers we have had in a number of years 3/ Yes he has positive intentions and is passionate about his job and the club 4/Not at the moment, I think he needs to go back to basics, stick to 1 formation, as hes not just confusing the fans, hes confusing the players and himself.
Agree with much of the above, especially point four. From New Years Day, our points total and form was such that it would have gained a top ten finish I believe, based on that half season. We have virtually the same personnel at the moment, yet are languishing second from bottom. So Flicker, Mellon & Scott have got to get together and analyse just why there's such a huge discrepancy between this season, and with the last four months of the previous season, with the same players, excluding Ramage. He (or they) should come to the conclusion as many have pointed out that it's playing players out of position. It's intruiging to know just why they haven't come to the same conclusion as most on here, and I'd love to know what input Mellon and Scott have with team selection, as it's difficult to believe that all three of them would share the same flawed view of our current tactics and team set-up.
1, What positive behaviors is flicker demonstrating the leads you to believe he is competent at this level? 2, Does his treatment of Bobby, picking his favorites (despite their form) & blaming the players for Saturday increase or reduce his credibility? 3, What recent evidence demonstrates his positive intentions? 4, How long are are we prepared to accept the results?
1. 1.33 ppg at this level, so yes. 2. He is credible, he kept us up against all odds last season. He has done nothing to suggest he lacks credibility. 3. He is a very positive and passionate man. 4. No he isn't at the minute. But given his achievements last season the sample size of results this season is far too small to conclude that he should be sacked.
1. Yes. 2. Yes. He's had a bad 6 weeks. If that turns into a bad 10 weeks then we're struggling. 3. To win football matches. 4. Not at the minute.
1. Dropped and took the arm-band off his captain, who dared to question his tactics and game-plan and gave it to someone who would not question his choices and decisions; 2. publicly berated his key members of his playing staff; 3. saw a dressing room revolt which caused a down-turn in performance on the pitch and the under-performance of good players; 4. ended in a slanging-match with fans about performances; 5. sacked a month into the season. I would definitely NOT have Paolo di Canio as manager if Flicker were to go!!!!!!
