In 1967 at the age of 18 I bought the very influential Sgt Peppers album, one of the tracks was When I'm 64, well 46 happy years later I am. Dunt feel it, I'm probably dafter now than I was then, growing old disgracefully is the name of the game. Bring it on.
I know what you mean mucker I was 58 this year, and still feel like a 12 year old yet dafter. My Grandson .. Alfie was two on the 2nd of sept... I recall as if it was yesterday getting the car out in a bit of a frenzy to take my daughter to the hospital for his birth... I know that's just two year ago , but it seems like just a heartbeat away. Also may I thankyou sir for your post, life is short.... maybe too short to worry about a football team.
Re: I know what you mean mucker Your right, life is too short and youth is wasted on the young, enjoy every day, young or old, it could be your last. I've spent today walking in Derbyshire with a group of idiots as daft as me, the youngest ( our carer ) is 58 the oldest is about 67, of the seven of us 2 are BFC s/t holders and 1 each of Donny and Rothrum, thats how daft we are, the walk was full of laughs and sillyness as they are every week and on Friday I'm going with my son, nephew and great niece to see Exit Calm in dee dar land, what a silly old bugger.
**** off thee.. yer nosey bugger Ayup big buddy... and seriousy you too are another example for me as to time flying... it seems like yesterday that Laura confessed to me her desire to be a v Vet... and I upset her to tears by asking if she would be able to put her hamster down... then a couple of weeks later I brought her up the Dragon in a box and sent that blokes pint flying.... as I said to Old bloke, life is wayyy too short. Now how is all in the Herring household, I hope its all Hunky.
Happy Birthday. You know, they only invented the internet so one day you could post that. I think it was probably worth it.
Many Happy Returns, old mate Have a good 'un. <img src ="http://rlv.zcache.com/64th_birthday_gift_ideas_personalized_invitation-r1817c17eecee4dbdbb60093e2c13d596_8dnmv_8byvr_512.jpg">
That happened 10 years ago, mate Laura is going out tonight on her first ever pub crawl round Carlisle with her uni flatmates.
Re: Many Happy Returns, old mate Thanks Kev, 1 more year and I find out if income levelling was a good choice. HA HA.
It was You win every time with it. Trust me. Did I ever let you down with regards to any payroll issues?
Re: That happened 10 years ago, mate Brilliant, after all she's gone through she deserves a good time, 20 years ago we dropped our son off in Preston and he was on his first pub crawl while we sorted his room out, a very wierd feeling when we left him but it made him an independant well rounded young man, it was the making of him, don't worry Kev, she'll love every second of it and come back a lovely young woman.
Re: That happened 10 years ago, mate I trust her to be safe and sensible. I also warned the male flatmates if they lay a finger on her, I'll be up there in my wrestling gear and rip them limb from limb! I thought subtlety was the best approach!
Re: That happened 10 years ago, mate Nail a picture of you in your spandex gear to her door, that will keep em all away.
Re: That happened 10 years ago, mate Funny you should say that, mate, as it's exactly what I suggested to Laura. For some bizarre reason, she didn't appear too keen on the suggestion!
Re: That happened 10 years ago, mate Ha Ha, it could be a vision she's trying delete from her memory.
