Just checked with a Norwich season ticket holder and this is his evaluation of David Fox: "brilliant central midfield ball player. Makes the whole team tick. Will miss him, but you have a real player there."
Come on Conan, give the lad a chance. You don't rate our current midfielders so you should be pleased someone has been brought in
A bit meh myself about this but he can hardly be any worse in terms of ability or form than the current incumbents.
Just being flippant. Decent player at this level - just hope he's allowed to bring something a bit different to the team. Under no circumstances should Perkins or Dawson be anywhere the near first eleven on Saturday.
To be fair when we got Korey Smith on loan he came highly recommended by Norwich fans too, so lets wait and see....
Korey Smith played one decent game and then sunk into oblivion. More than happy to give our new Fox a chance......
I think having seen a fair bit of Norwich over the last year, development games especially, I can pass fair comment on Fox. Very neat and tidy, sits ahead of the back four and plays simple passes. Not going to win a header or a 50/50 ball, neither will he take men on and shoot. He is a possession player. Gets it, gives it etc. Jon Greening but a bit younger. I am puzzled as to why Flicker believes he is what we need right now, unless he is going to play him further forward, but even then, he's not a patch on Mellis - creativity or work rate wise. Decent player, and a decent bloke. But a great addition to get excited about? Not really. Unless we play him with ONE toiler AND Mellis/Cywka etc.
