It was obvious that most of the spine of the team was weak against Watfud.........

..................and it looks like the management team have identified just that

Goal keeper............Steele............although Flicka says he's injured............but injured or not we need to improve that position
Central defence...........we are still looking for someone to grab hold and dominate that position
Defensive midfielder.........as reported by me after the Watfud match, Kelvin just wasn't at the races - which is surprising because when he played towards the end of last season we got a result
Centre forward..........that part of the spine did well...........well done Chris O'Grady

    Nudge...agree on most points.

Just my opinion is that the midfield weakness is Perkins and not Kelvin.

Maybe we see what Flicker thinks when we see team versus Leicester, and for me, Perkins needs a rest....a long one.

Against Watfud, I thought Perkins tried hard..........I thought Kelvin was just a bystander
Before bringing Fox in I would have tried Cranie or even Wiseman at the side of Kelvin just to see if that worked.........and then looked for the central defender that we need
I've only seen M'Voto once this season against Charlton and he looked the part to me..........obviously Flicka thinks differently
Flicka has brought in two centre backs..........and unfortunately for him neither of them are up to his standard YET

But like Simon Davey used to say...... a large percentage of the players brought in don't actually make it
Flicka has been really unlucky in the close season.........he's brought about 8 players in and only the Ramage signing has worked. All the others are not fit or not up to speed for the Championship
Cant count O'Grady in that cos he was already here

In saying that, what I have seen of M'Voto and McCourt......they look good

Nudge, if I pick your points out accurately (sorry if I am wide of the mark lad):-

M'Voto - agree, think he will be an asset for us but does need some adjustment to Championship football. ***

Ramage - comes with promotion experience, but looked pour versus Watford, but so did rest of defence/midfield.

Perkins - he's been poor this season , make no bones abart that. Runs a lot, swings his arms a lot, shouts at team mates a lot. For me....w@nk.

McCourt - looks like he can play football, but for me, looks like he will get flattered week in week out; no strength?

*** - must have biggest **** in Championship?

Wiseman is definitely not a CM. Cranie can play there, would be good in a holding role but I also think he's our best defender so probably not a good idea to take him out of defence.

M'Voto I agree has looked very good at times and wins everything in the air but has looked positionally dodgy on a few occasions. If we're playing a back 3 (with wing-backs), I'd be very happy to have him in the team. Will come good, lets remember he's only played a handful of Champ games.

Ramage - I'm a little concerned by this signing if I'm honest. Aside from his on-paper experience, I don't see what he brings to the squad that we didn't already have. He deserves more time of course but I'd have just stuck with Bobby if we needed an old head.

Perkins - Not had the best of games this season and imo has been on a steady decline since his first season with us. I have no idea what he was doing for the 5th Watford goal at the weekend. This lad's got some talent though and his work rate and tenacity is second to none. Nevertheless, if the opportunity's there, I'd rest him for a few games now. Let's not forget that, when fit, he's probably played in every game for the last 3 seasons!

McCourt - Great competition for Mellis. Not seen enough of him to judge but he makes the task of carrying the ball forward in the opposition's half look effortless.

Why are you deliberately spelling the word Watford Watfud?

Anyonw would think you was an attention seeking Blunt .

M'Voto clearly bought to play against certain types of teams.

Perkins way out of form at his best can be an asset but adds literally nothing in am attacking sense. Kelvin the same though at least adds some sort of athleticism even when out of form.

To me we need to get the talented Digby fit and in the team in central midfield. The only way a club ours size can prosper us through a successful youth policy.

We have someone in the squad who could play CB. Bobby. We have someone in the squad who can play DM. Bobby. And we could play with 2 AM as he is a proper defender, who can also pass a football.
