So we have worst Defence in Championship.......and as of today, we have not strengthened this position. I am pleased we have got Butland and Fox, but very confused as to why we haven't yet addressed our major weakness.
We have some good defenders at the club already. We just need to find the right combination in the right formation and allow them to settle.
I maintain we have a squad worthy of top half. Flicker just seems to have lost his head, trying to over complicate things. I'm hoping he'll come to his senses PDQ, and get back to what worked last year.
A goalkeeper is quite defensive with a player that keeps possession and can pass a bit is exactly what we needed.
I would argue that signing an England international goalkeeper is a decent defensive signing, although agree we are desperate for a left back
Barnsley have signed Norwich midfielder David Fox on a three-month loan deal. The 29-year-old, who is yet to feature for the Canaries this season, becomes the second player to join the Tykes in two days after Stoke goalkeeper Jack Butland arrived on loan on Thursday. Fox started his career with Manchester United before moving on to Blackpool, Colchester and Norwich, who he helped to promotion from the Championship. He could make his debut for Barnsley against Leicester on Saturday.
