One of those players who moves at half the pace of those around him but still goes past them. Some lovely touches here.
Looks like a very good signing now that he's getting up to speed, seems to walk past them as if they aren't there. Hopefully he can add that bit more creativity to the team also.
Bloody hell, we look brilliant! Will I still be able to get tickets when I get back to the UK - I fancy watching a bit of that.
It's a long time since I saw that sort of skill from a player in a Barnsley shirt. Probably Hignett was the last. It's that kind of football that inspired people to call it the beautiful game. With players like McCourt, O'Grady, Scotland and Pedersen in the squad we're going to have no trouble at all scoring goals. It's up to Flicker to get the players behind them delivering the ball to our skilful players much more accurately and far more often so we can spend time attacking not defending. That was great to watch mate, thank you. I now feel a bit better about my team.
He's the sort of player I love to watch. Skilful, stylish, able to create something out of nothing. If he struggles with the tackling side of the game, covering every blade of grass from the first whistle to the last, I can accept that. When the toilers in the team are beating players so easily and creating chances for their team mates, then I expect to see McCourt doing to same. But not until. For me, his initial displays have been good (and I accept these are only initial displays), so I was a bit flummaxed to see others saying they thought he was unimpressive against Watford and a one trick pony.
Very encouraging to see that sort of a ability in a Barnsley shirt once again. I just hope he can continue to adapt to the step up in quality from the SPL to the Championship. *s******* Let's be patient with Jennings - he's a young lad.
A few bits of magic missing off that clip. McCourt is an inteligent player and not all rushing around like a headless chicken, because of this he has been labeled lazy by some. When we get Pedersen back i think we will have a player that will be able to read McCourts game and start ripping teams apart. Am a gerrin too giddy?
Agreed, some really impressive stuff on those highlights. Just shows that we need to attack teams and make them worry about us, not the other way round. Gung Ho!
Great clips particularly the movement and pass for Wisemans 'off side' goal. What was he like for the other 88 minutes
The guy looks a different gravy, everything I hoped having seen his Celtic goals. The new Oakwell hero
I agree. I love to see someone like him who can make runs, take players on and then pick out a forward pass without having to go backwards. I'd like to see someone like Hassell (I know, I know) or Cranie sat in front of the defence picking up the pieces and passing to him.
