Every day for the last month I've logged on here to find a new thread from Conan about why Flicker should be sacked. Nothing this morning. In fact, he hasn't posted anything since the match last night. I hope he's alright. Cynics would say it's because we played well yesterday, but I'm just concerned about his well being.
the whole little posse of witch hunters will be somewhere, consoling each other. don't worry, they'll be back, soon enough...
I don't mind people slagging the team off when we're playing bad. Everyone's entitled to their opinion after all. It's the fact that they have no praise when we play well. Or am I just a cynic.
i prefer to concentrate on the positive. the crowd last night were an absolute credit. that's what i want to be part of. not worrying myself with whinging keyboard warriors.
He is at work, and is in good spirits after last nights much improved performance. He can't get on the net at the min.
The flicker of the last 2 months has sacked himself and brought back last season's flicker to oversee our march up the table.
I think the next few games are still vital one good match does not make a season. I like Flitcroft and want him to succeed bit the 6 games after QPR are vital. We need good performances as a minimum and 10 point to back those performances up.
I'm not suprised by this thread to be honest, although I am surprised by the originator. As Redstar will testify, I was kicking every ball last night and my only disappointment was that we did not get the three points we deserved. However, a similar level of performance has to be maintained - it's not a case of one decent performace and everything is fine again. We MUST win the next two home games.
In fairness to Conan at least he is consistent and argues his point. Its the ones that lurch within the space of 90 minutes that bug me. He does my head in sometimes with some of his excessive negativity but I put it down to the awful music he listens to, it'd make me that way too. But to be fair he is polite, isn't abusive (except to Keef which is of course uncalled for), argues his case, and doesn't take himself too seriously. I reckon I'd get on with him pretty well in real life, just wouldn't want to go to a gig with him.
Agreed. Definately need min of three wins and a draw from the six match run of so called "easier" games. I think we've played like seven of the top nine (with QPR to come) and only one of something like the bottom nine (Charlton).
