My attempt at a new paddy mccourt song

    the one and the only its paddy mccourt
    no one can get near him
    as he slips past defenders
    he just picks up the ball and smashes it home

    Obviously we need a goal out of him first but he came bloody close last night (along with my £2 at 14/1). It will come. :)

    I think the first line would scan better if it was "he's the Pele from Derry"

    It was a song from the late 60s/early 70s. Perhaps it was just a TV advert song. The words are something like Georgie, Georgie Georgie the Belfast Boy. Sorry thats about all I can muster, I was only a bit of a bairn tha knows
