Fair play to em. They don't like each other though. I haven't seen away supporters Sat so far apart, ever! It looked like they just tried to spread out to make it look like there were more of em!
Reading, Watford and QPR never fetch many even when doing well. Dont suppose we would have many more midweek at their grounds.
I thought the ironic cheers from there fans when the crowd was given out became even more ironic when they announced how many reading fans there were, premiership wannabees my arse
Poor support in my opinion. I understand it's a lot of money to travel a few hundred miles on a Tuesday night as well as time but they have a big home support as well as being in the Premier League last season. Considering we get 9000-10000 home fans most weekends, we took more than that to a longer trip to Bournemouth the other week and we're doing ****!
But how many of the Reds fans that were at Bournemouth actually live in the South/London? I reckon a significant proportion of those there.
I reckon more than half were southern reds. It's fair to say there are less Northern based Reading fans.
By the same token how many of the 327 Reading fans probably live in the Leeds/ Sheffield/ Manchester area??
That's my point, I'd reckon far fewer Reading fans live up north than Reds fans down south. But you're right, I think for a lot of these long distance midweek matches, most away fans live in the locality - maybe Reading fans at Uni for example.
