He's not good enough. He's been given loads of chances and he's shown he's an honest, hard working player, but he's just not good enough at this level. I think Flicker has now realised that. O'Grady, Scotland and Pedersen are far better options. IMHO so is Rose.
I like Dagnall and I thought he showed us towards the back end of last season what we should come to expect of him but things haven't looked well so far for him at all this season. No one can question the lads effort but I think he's just one step too far in the championship.
I really like Daggers and I wanted him to succeed at this level but sadly it looks like he isn't good enough to earn a regular place. Its s shame because he works his nuts off.
I agree, hard working lad. When he scored two goals and also taking penalties he was good. Unfortunately he has never followed it up
Squad player at the moment, but dont write him off not playing again, allsorts can go wrong with the forwards, injury, sold, recalled.
Top scorer last season despite being wrote off. And whilst I can't see him featuring at the moment and do question whether he has a future here, I won't be writing him off this time. So many brilliant memories of Daggers - the Rochdale, Leeds and MK braces. The header vs Wolves. The pressure penalty vs Brighton, and the ******* sheer graft that was key to our survival. Oh, and countless assists and unlucky moments. Unfortunately for him, we have 3 better performing strikers ahead of him at present. But that may change.
Could have a watertight defence and scoring 1 in 8 as your main goal threat is putrid. End of story and luckily everyone else has taken note of this awful record including big Dave thank god.
10 in 43 last season. About 1 in 5 this. Not excellent. But not quite as bad as you suggest. If you want to rip into a lad that gave us his all to stay up, then you carry on. Personally, he wouldn't get into my side these days. But I still think he's useful to us over a 46 game season. But each to theirs etc.
Surely we only care about league goals, and hes scored less than 1 in 8 for us during his time. I cant make up factual stats to pad his record. I wish i could.
Dagnall has a great attitude and work ethic but just not quite up to the week-in-week-out Championship standard that BFC now require.
To be fair 5 weren't league goals. 4 of the cup goals came against lower league sides where he would be a good player. Only scored 3 in open play in the league. A good hard working lad not quite good enough. Needs a loan out to someone at the top of league 1 see what happens from there.
