    From the Chronicle:

Reds boss Dave Flitcroft has denied reports that Jacob Mellis will follow Jim McNulty out of Oakwell on loan. Midfielder Mellis has been linked with a loan move to Blackpool in national newspapers but Flitcroft insists there has been no contact between the clubs and the 22 year old, is still in his plans.

Barnsley are chasing one further loan signing, but it is unlikely it will be in time for the trip to QPR.

David Fox's primary role in the team is to get the ball to Paddy McCourt. Fox has been impressed with the Irishman and believes he is key to Barnsley's success.

Despite the fact that Barnsley have scored one more goal this season, than tomorrow's opponents QPR, the reds have conceeded 26 since the last time Harry Redknapp's unbeaten side last conceeded.

On that logic there are no Scottish or Welsh people either.

Then again, we could just be Europeans.

of course he's Irish, he was born on an island called Ireland, ergo he's Irish, just like I'm English.

If he was born in Derry then he will consider him self Irish

However, it was Londonderry then that would be different

Give over. Look no further than my performance in that prediction game for proof of how often I get things wrong. I've got an uncomfortable feeling that my performance in that is a direct reflection of my knowledge of football.

Why is it called Great Britain and Northern Ireland? Even if he considers himself not Irish, it will be in favour of "from the North of Ireland", either way I'll be t you 5 pints of Harp he doesn't consider himself British.
