Doesn't seem to react as much to the little things, more focus on everything that's going well. Even his initial interviews after returning painted the picture of someone who just wanted to enjoy his work again, which would include ignoring the negatives as much as possible. He's also trying to recreate the past, yet starting with a clean slate and a completely different team supporting him - that challenge appears to be one he's relishing. And Eaststand Lower, that really was quite pointless, wasn't it?
So you would say the spell away from Spotland has done him the world of good? Lost a little of his swagger maybe.
Maybe it's modified the swagger. Yes Eaststand, really pointless. Including all those players he's worked with over the years that are still serving your club well. Opinion is fine, but at least base it in reality and with something to back it up.
The bloke will always be clueless and any Barnsley fan who is still throwing nacker porridge over him must be doing it for a giggle
Yes I saw why this thread was created. Hence my joke manager in a joke league. When he wins something of note get back to me. I'd love to stay and to55 myself off over Keith but unfortunately I have a life and I'm off out, maybe 2/3 people on here still praise Keith, like I say maybe it's for a giggle maybe they genuinely do like him.
Does he need to win the Champions League then? Before his stint at Barnsley, in full seasons since becoming a manager : one playoff final, one playoff semi final, one promotion, finishing in Dale's highest ever league position in L1. What a joke.
Very tempted to show up and support Dale against Newport next weekend. No game for us, so it's very tempting. Maybe he could loan Daggers back this week and I'll fetch Dyson.
What about all the player he brought in on loan to replace the midfielders he lost, do you forget those players? He brought them in and they were toss!!!
He's a ****in geezer, would love to meet him and have a beer, chew fat over music and tic tac football
Think Keith will level off at championship and oakwell was a good learning kerb for him as long as he knew wat went wrong which I think he does tbh. Whether that's with Rochdale is another story but I think he'll be reluctant to move or a while as the Barnsley job may have shaken his confidence a little and he may need a while to reassert his pride. But money talks so who knows. Thought some of the football under keef was brilliant at times up to the final third then it lost its way and that was the final piece of the jigsaw he was never able or allowed to complete. But his stuborness and lack of communication skills with the fans didn't help him and he seemed to persist with the same tactics choose what the results or performances. It was as if he was happy to lose our championship status to get his way, probably got the confidence to attempt to restore it but our championship status as been hard won and maintained since administration and we as fans are very protective of it. I liked keef and wish him well and hope he can bring you up to the championship as that would be some story and I believe he is very capable of doing it. I'm very happy at what we now have at the well and I really believe we have a very good young manager who will one day manage in the top flight hopefully with us.
Met him, disliked him, his musical tastes are ***** and so is his dress sense. All in all though it boils down to his football intelligence and he had less of that than he thought, also the fans had a lot more than he gave credit for too. Good luck to him at Rochdale, I hope they are happy together, but I never want to see him again at Barnsley FC. If he comes back as an opposition manager then he will get the same as all others from me, indifference.
