At myself for feeling the need to post this. We all, or mostly, expected to lose. But hoped to win. Now we've lost certain people with the mental capacity lower than a grapefruit, are calling for his head again. WHY? Why not see we are improving and get behind the team? Is it because you either don't watch the team and so follow from your keyboards or is it because you are just plain stupid? This team will stay up, with this manager. Please feel free to ram this down my throat if we don't. Because to some of you you'll enjoy the vindication more than the feeling of following your team and SUPPORTING them through thick and thin. If you don't like it please keep your negativity to yourselves. Because most are behind our team. And I'm proud of us. Every year.
Best post I've read today. Your right, although I'm one of the optimistic and expect us to win every game. How can anyone kick off because we lost today, away at Leicester or against Watford. I'm confident we'll now start climbing the table but what does us is fans with deluded thoughts thinking we should be winning games like this and potentially putting more pressure on us in the next game.
well said mate, for 66 mins we held a strong overpaid ex prem side plus gave joey barton a few kicks in the air then unfortunetely lost our way 2-0 is no disgrace to a top side, improvements are happening and i think having butland in the net is a plus point paddy is a legend already KTF
I am not quite nailing my colours to the mast one way or the other here because I can't yet decide for sure if I think Flicker should go - if we have no more points on the board by the time we have played Wednesday then I think my mind would be made up but at the moment I am still one of the optimistic. However, to see the other side of the coin, I think that it is perfectly reasonable for people to come to the conclusion they have, if that conclusion is that the manager should go. It obviously opens up the old chestnut about who on earth would replace him, given the trouble we had finding a replacement for Hill. However, I don't think anyone's view is based on 1 defeat at QPR. Their view is that, after almost 1/4 of the season, we have 5 points. I know that we have played a lot of good sides and excuses can be found on that basis, but the reality is that everyone has to play the same sides and most will return more than 5 points from the same run of games. We also have to play the same teams again. The reality is that this division is chock full of good sides and it is difficult to suggest that the rest of the season is going to get any easier. We can wax lyrical all we want about how good the sides are that we have played but ultimately, if we can't complete against them then we will be relegated. It is clear that we have the capacity to play well in individual games, such as Reading. We need to do it consistently and we need to make sure that playing well returns points on the board. And if we don't do it soon, then we will be back in the position where it takes a miracle to stay up again. Given that we have 5 points from 11 games, we now need 45 points from 35 games at a rate of 1.28 per game. That is a 60 points per season average. In other words, we all thought that we would finish mid table this season - we still have time to survive but we now need to show mid table form to reach 50 points and scrape survivial. Leave it much longer and we will need to return promotion form to scrape survival. It is very easy to see why people are getting twitchy and by suggesting that people who are have a mental capacity lower than a grapefruit and are just stupid you are making yourself look the same. Like I say, 3 more defeats and I will be one of the grapefruits. I'm trying to hold my nerve.
A lot are just wind ups off Twitter, they'll post on Twitter that they're off on the BBS to wind folk up. A lot of these folk will have 500+ followers on twitter but couldn't string a fecking sentence together in real life. They look popular behind a jizz covered keyboard in Cyberworld.
Great idea. Let's all have the same thoughts and opinions and agree on everything. We wouldn't need this board then.
