Maybe they are spending it on this. That's if they've actually got any money. http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/blades-apartment-plans-set-for-council-approval-1-6131944
I have a good friend who's involved in Football accountancy at a high level..he tells me that apparently he's not as wealthy as the initial headlines suggested, has a total worth of around £90m,but a lot of that is purely paper valuation,he seems to think he has around 10-15m disposable...not much to put them in the premier league in 3 years
Newspapers reports today that they want Nigel Clough. If they end up getting him that would show that the investor has some cash.
I read something very similar. Rich compared to the average fan but certainly not compared to some other club owners.
I keep telling you, he bought into 'Blades Leisure' not the club. Type Jacob Essan into google and you'll soon realise McSue pulled the same stunt last September. They are a club run by a lovely person, for cnuts. Which delights me. A lot.
Because I don't think he will come cheaply to the next club who wants him. He will probably command a yearly salary between 750k and a million. Way out of our league should Flicker be gone soon. So if a side that will be spending the next two seasons at no higher than division three level get him that would show they have some money.
