Before Premier League days (pretty sure it was 1990 actually, but that's by-the-by) loads more plastics in Barnsley and Yorkshire now. Mind you, if it's live on MUTV, I very much doubt they'll bother to make the effort to actually attend an actual game.
Don't expect a Man U team to be packed with current stars, they're hardly allowed for internationals, let alone testimonials. Some recent retirees Scholes, Neville, Beckham etc may turn out.
Went to visit family in Barnsley the other day. My nephew who supports Huddersfield Town through his dads side says his class only has two Barnsley fans. Over half his school class are Leeds fans and next most popular team is Wednesday. Very sad what our club are up against in their own town.
Surprising that , it's normally just premiership kids are interested in,and Leeds and Wednesdays have hardly been successful last ten years , probably it's because the dad's support them and sons obv go wi them to games
yes Tyrone I do... as they probabably have more MANURE fans in t'Tarn than actual Tarn fans, that's how sad football is these days. But that said I hope the ground is a sell out. As some have said on here it could be if the price is right.
Re: yes Tyrone I do... as they probabably have more MANURE fans in t'Tarn Aye, think on Bobby, we all love you, we appreciate the decade of outstanding service and we think Flicker's daft not to play you...But charge us more than a fiver and you can fook right off...
not at all mate, try using the grey matter from time to time most players these days give the proceeds of the testimonial to their favourite charity, or have you been in your cave too long to have seen that?
