You'd think so but apparently not. She got quite stroppy about it, in fact.

The indoor 3G pitch has been there years, the outdoor one has been re-surfaced and opened a few weeks ago.

I think it's simply a case of wires being crossed. Mr C was referring to the indoor pitch, which he rightly pointed out was installed ages ago, while Hemsworth thought he was talking about the outdoor pitch, which has only recently been done.

Let's all take a deep breath, take a step back and not have a big bun fight. He's only just come back, he will make mistakes like we all do, shall we not start jabbing him with a stick just yet.

Yes sorry, I didn't read it properly Mr.C.
I meant the outdoor one which is behind them .

I'm overheard Paul Heckingbottom talking to a guy about it and he said he had been on it and its quite soft.

Not sure if the pros will go on it much.

It's also a big white elephant part of oakwell.

The 'second pitch' should have been there. With the thousand plus covered seats.

I read it fine, then remarked in passing we'd had the 3G indoors for 3 years. Then you said we hadn't and the rest of the world said yes we have.

I wasn't jabbing HT. I assumed that he was referring to both indoor and outdoor pitches and that we'd probably had the indoor one ripped up and relaid again. My cynical mind assumed that Flitcroft didn't like something that was there before he was so he'd asked for it redoing (probably calling it the john stoned indoor pitch or something) and had been telling people that the old astroturf was crap.

In short my assumption was that the club were giving out false truths not HT.

How many pro footballers can we name who actually do take corners with either foot? Other than the lad making his return to Oakwell on Saturday. I actually can't name another.

Aye he could use both feet. Shame delivery lacked.

Aye, it wasn't his strong point. Another one who preferred the delicate approach.

What ever happened to corner takers who whipped the ball in with pace, right under the keepers snout?

*you just know we've jinxed it now for Saturday...

I'd rather you chucked it towards the West Stand, pal. I need it more than any footballer.
