What kind of reception do we think young Jacob will get tomorrow?

I won't boo or applaud him.

I think one thing that might sting a little with some is that, since his move away, he's had a number of opportunities to return to us on loan and has chose not to - whatever the reason may have been.

 

I hope he doesn't get booed but I hope he doesn't get applauded either.

He left, we moved on, couldn't give a toss about what he does with his career. I have a lot more respect for John Stones.

He's never once chosen not to return to Oakwell. In fact, he agreed with Keith to return last season but Hughton thought it was too easy an option and sent him to Bolton instead. Barnsley have never asked Jacob the question again, despite Flitcroft's insinuations in todays Chronicle etc.



As for this thread, as Jay pointed out earlier, there's never a chance to applaud a former player anymore, because they don't read out the opposition XI like they used to.

However, there'll be 90 minutes opportunity to boo him or chant stuff at him. And I know for a cast iron certainty that a fair amount will take that opportunity.

Free country and all that ********.



I'm more interested in watching our lads, and cheering them. Especially the players - who like Jake - can be creative and affect the final third.

I've got Flicker on Barnsley player at the moment. He has made it categorically clear that he's been in for Jacob a few times and has 'hit the post with that one' haha. I'm just stating a reason why some might choose to boo him.

 

Oh well, if Flicker says summat on Player it must be BFC gospel.
