so people can hear them coming. Not Simon Davey, not Keith Hill, not Jim Iley but I give you Nigel Spackman.I don't hate him or call him silly childish names or wish ill luck on his family but in my honest humble opinion the worst manager ever to be in charge of my/our football club.

Somebody who would know told me Alan Clarke was a strange feller to work with "but Nigel Spackman was something else!"

the appointment of Spackman was bizarre, when ever he was on TV it was oblivious he had no idea what he was talking about

I agree that Spackman should go down as the worst manager, what was he thinking? However not sure that at the time, it was a strange decision to appoint him. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember that it was quite a positive and well received appointment.

I think Oblivious isnt such a bad choice of word to describe spackman
[h=3]Oblivious adjective \ə-ˈbli-vē-əs\. : not conscious or aware of someone or something[/h]
He certainly wasnt aware how to manage a football team - Worst Manager I have ever seen us play under - and I remember Jim Iley

Due to recreational drugs taking in the early noughties I thought his choice was welcomed by most fans. Could be wrong like. Could just be my haggled memory banks!

Yes I hold my hand up I was one of the many who welcomed the choice of Mr spackman infact if memory serves me right he did well at Sheffield united before us but was out of work due to unfair sacking at the time. Don't know what went wrong other than he tried to change every thing over night just like. David weir as just done
