The game was crying out for him. With Mellis being largely ineffective he would've been ideal to put the wind up the Wendys.

Could've done with him if only to take free kicks. Too many wasted today.

Him or JOB should have come on at half time for Mellis.

Perhaps we should try playing him in the middle instead of Perkins

Well we have to stop playing him on the left because he offered nothing second half and it cost us the game. They were there for the taking after half time and he just went missing.

I agree. Although maybe he keeps hoping the Mellis who is perfectly capable of being effective there if he puts his mind to it might turn up. I say that because I rate Mellis so highly, although I shudder to think how exposed we would be with him in a central 2

We aren't exactly setting the world afire with toilers in there are we?

Fair point. For me we need 5 in the middle to accommodate Mellis centrally but you can't not play Pedersen. We really do lack creativity with a 4 so need 2 wingers who are on it

But Mellis isn't a winger. He's out of position so we can keep two so called toilers in the middle.

But he has the ability to play there. But for me he's getting close to losing his chances to show he can. Unfortunately Jennings looks gash and Cywka doesn't seem to do it when he starts.

If you play Mellis centrally your back to a diamond where you need two hard working wide men. ie not Paddy.

I think it's unfair to call Fox a toiler though, he is very assured in the ball

He does and it was unfair.

Although we could try Mellis with him and then Paddy and say JOB wide.

We need to try something different as as it stands we've just watched two of the three teams to drop.

I'm on board with that, although I think we would be very open

Mellis needs to play in the middle it's as simple as that. As for being exposed we already are. A team that can't defend needs to seize the offensive.
