very frustrating in my opinion. I thought he played quite well today and got the Sky sports man of the match award i believe. I felt he was back to a high level. you always get the high work rate from him but he also did quite a lot with the ball. Hes frustrated me in the past because he does very little but does that slowly (Blackpool away an example of that) but he didn't today. He was often making the width on the left and he was getting in behind them. He should run with the ball more at defenders because hes good at it. I've seen certain posters having negative comments towards certain players at times and they do this a lot but its just frustrating. It seems Perkins or TK or Mellis seems to be the new guy that posters want to have whinge about.
I especially enjoyed the moment he put his shoulder into a tackle with a guy a good six inch taller than him and came away with the ball, leaving the other bloke on his arse
Just wish he would look to play the ball quicker and pass rather than slowing us down and keeping hold of ball, but he is a decent player for us and thought he played well today
People have just given their opinion on how they think players performed in the game. It hasn't been ott or overly negative. Other people's opinions may not accord with yours, that's fair enough, but is there any need for all the bairning just because somebody thinks a player had a poor game? All this crying of making players scapegoats is just ridiculous, it's getting to the stage on here where you can't give an honest opinion on a player (unless said opinion is ultra positive) without having accusations of not being a fan levelled at you. Just as frustrating as what you say.
You're contradicting yourself. I cant believe he was given MOM. He's ok when he's charging around like a nutcase but he is so frustrating when he's on the ball as he doesn't have a clue what to do with it. He slows the game down far too much.
Perkins hasn't been the same player this season IMO. (Kennedy the same) Don't know if it's age/form or something to do with who is alongside him. I agree with the post somewhere above, wins the ball well, but doesn't know what to do with it once he's got it.
personally i thought he was brilliant for the first 20 minutes. then just kinda fizzled out. i'll keep saying the same. switching to 4 has unsettled the entire balance. perkins, mellis and etuhu all suffering for it.
Am I right in thinking Perks' contract expires next summer? Tell you now...He'll not be short of offers.
