There are a vocal few on here who think Wiseman is not good enough to play in this league. If you are one of those who so believe, then please put your name to this thread. Otherwise, please accept that Wiseman, like other players, sometimes has a bad game. And that's it. But otherwise he does indeed hold his own, depending on the position he is asked to play, in this league. Then perhaps we can leave his confidence to grow, and thus his performances to even improve. So off you go, if you wish. With an explanation too as to what is wrong such that he should not be picked to play in this league, perhaps based on how he played today. Thank you.
I thought he played well today - even managed to take a couple of players on in the final third. More generally, I think he's plenty good enough realistically and his pace is a real weapon. His performances have been great ever since Flicker took over.
Really glad to see he has been given licence to attack and overlap, it shows what he has to offer going forward. All our players will have defects, that's why they play for us and not other clubs
Picking up some tricks from Paddy great game offensively today despite lacking speed of thought or foot on occasion and put some good blocks in. Best game in a red shirt for me.
Wiseman has been good this season,.....I'd say 7/10 on average. Today, played well and I see signs of good linkage with McCourt. Let's give the lad applause, because he he's improved and made RB his own position. After last season (and I blame Keith Hill for his negativity) he's re-invented himself.
Excellent yesterday. Probably the best performance I've seen from him at right back. All his other great performances have tended to come at centre half. Never used to be a fan of Wiseman, but since Flicker took over, he's been one of our best players along with Cranie and O'Grady. Definitely good enough for this league and if he can keep combining with McCourt like he did yesterday then he'll be pivotal in us winning a number of games. If he does carry on playing like that we should be worried about keeping hold of him, not whether he is good enough. And he's go a beard. You don't have to have a beard to play in our back four, but it certainly helps.
Like most others, I thought he was superb yesterday. Really glad that his move to Blackpool / Blackburn fell through.
Me too. He's gone through a harsh time at oakwell, but boy has he turned it around and now he's one of the first names to be on team sheet. Couldn't be happier for him.
From Zero to Hero.... Awful this time last year. Out of confidence and form... This wasn't helped by Hill, who played him in a different position each week then talked up his performance when he had played badly... Hill then also had a dig at us fans for getting on his back, which only made things worse. But Wiseman deserves high praise for his turnaround in form... My opinion of him has changed. He is now one of our most consistent performers and championship quality without doubt! Puts in a shift every week. And for all the flack he got from us fans last year, I often feel he deserves a little chant of support... Some great defensive work yesterday, showing good pace and composure
Some of us on here always supported him and knew he was a good player Our mob on here tried to destroy him , how the hell they expect anyone to perform to their ability when they get their teeth into him god only knows And yes they call themselves supporters !
There's a real flavour of 'proper fan' in this thread. LOL. Wiseman has had some awful games for us, under Keef mainly, but he has been very good since flicker took over. Maybe it's the manager who knows how to get the best out of him?
