The lad always seems to look for a positive pass Makes himself available to team mates and I'm certain is capable of playing in any formation the manager decides to utilise.
I wasn't going to do a blog, but now you mention it.... But seriously, I was busy after the game so unlike many I wasn't posting in numerous threads last night. I've basically put my thoughts down in one go, rather than a post in each related thread. If that makes sense. But hey ho, Joe. You crack on.
Diatribe ? I don't agree with some of it but it is an exceptionally well thought out and presented. If you don't agree then please compose a counter argument of a similar standard.
Generally agree with that assessment Whitey but I'd be amazed if Hassell ever gets a run of games, may be more constructive to forget that he actually plays for us when having ideas for possible formations/team selections.
Good read, Whitey. Thanks for that. You seem to be saying what most others on here are saying regarding the mistakes in selection and formation. If it's so obvious to fans, why isn't it obvious to the management team?
They do see a lot more of the players than we do I suppose. They'll also know more about their characters, their behaviour etc. I'm assuming that must come into it.
-------------------------Butland---------------------------- -----------Cranie--------Hassell-------Kennedy Wiseman-----------Fox--------Perkins--------------Noble-Lazarus ------------------------McCourt----------------------------- ---------------Pedersen--------O'Grady---------------------- Jumping jehosiva my man what a team can you now explain dropping Kennedy is in the best interest of the club to yhe Rochdale cowboy in charge and I will be in your debt young man;0
I don't mind Kennedy as part of a back three. I thought he was brilliant there for us last season, and in the victory against Huddersfield this season when we last played 3-5-2. I don't rate him at left back, though. And once Nyatanga returns I expect him to make way.
Agree with most of that and like many am starting to believe that this is the year we drop. Flitcroft has managed to change the team from one that played attacking, in your face football which for the majority of his reign last season was a pleasure to sit and watch to a team playing predictable lethargic football that goes into blind panic whenever the opposition attacks. As for hassell getting back into the team unless the norovirus hits oakwell hard this season i will be very surprised if he gets 90 minutes combined all season, stuborness is a trait flitcroft has certainly picked up from his buddy hill. I know knocking the messiah is scorned upon on this board but personally i have had enough of flitcrofts, as imspartacus would paraphrase it, diatribe. I dont expect him to be sacked anytime soon and if the club decide he will be manager next season regardless then i personally believe it will be in league one. Having said all that we will probably now win the next 5 games and i will go ahead with my plan to have flitcroft is god tattooed on my left butt cheek
It's official. I've turned in to a happy clapper. Other than the final 10 minutes against 'boro I've been pleased with how we've played in our last 3 home games. I've got a couple of grumbles about substitutions and tactical changes in the games, but nowt worth bothering with really. I think the team Flicker is selecting and the way the players are performing will see us climb the table. I'm optimistic about our chances and I think we're moving forward. Seems I'm in a tiny minority though. Genuinely puzzled by that
