Thoroughly enjoyable. Well worth the entrance money. Even an old, miserable skin-flint like me couldn't grumble at the £1 admission fee! There was a first as well. It's the first time barnsley66 has been to a game and fancied the referee!
Danny rose no where near ready for the first team. Coffie looked ok when he came on. First half was terrible Rest of game very enjoyable
It was a very dull first half. The second half was pure bonkers, 0-0 at half time 3-3 at full time. It got to the point where both teams looked likely to score. Scotland, for me, was the best player on the pitch. I was impressed with Nyatanga, Dibble & Jennings, but was bitterly disappointed with Digby & RNL (and I'm a big fan of these two lads).
Dibble, Patterson at times and the number eight (Wato Kuate?) always seemed to look for a positive pass. Digby & RNL were, for me, a big disappointment. I liked the look of Abbott, too.
Always nice to read different views of these players. didn't go tonight either. RNL doesn't normally play at 100 % in these games. Its almost like hes a bit fed up with it. Abbotts a player i like. Good on the ball.
I'm not reading too much into any individual's performance tonight. I simply thought RNL contributed very little & Digby struggled as the game wore on. Leeds looked fitter throughout extra-time, but Abbott & Patterson stuck to the task well.
Just shows how differently people can see games. I thought that Wato and Dibble had awful games whereas RNL was 1 of only 3-4 who showed any kind of quality on the ball and some real drive in the 2nd half. His freekick for the final goal was a great example of what we have been missing in the 1st team. It's the first time ive seen the goalkeeper and the most positive thing I can say is that he's a shot stopper. After that...carnage. Wato's pass completion was 2%, however i wouldn't say it to his face as he looks rock hard. Sam Patterson looked very comfortable. The LB was a mixture of great and really not great. Digby did a lot of charging around but didn't show much on the ball. Abbott looked great and I was hoping Clark would have got on earlier. He looked very tidy in his brief cameo. Jennings worked hard and showed glimpses of quality and I would say the same about Cofie. Cofie made an awful challenge and received a yellow for it. It was nasty and could have been a red for me. Rose had a real mixed bag although the ball was blasted at his head a lot (like it was at O'Grady on Sat). "Tangs" will definitely need a few games to get up to speed, but Bobby is "plug and play" ready now. Most composed player on the pitch.
The only reason you "think" that is to back up your ridiculous claim that he should be sent out on loan to a League One club.
