We've a trust meeting with Ben Mansford this afternoon. Has anyone got anything they would like to raise? Was going to suggest a BBS meeting maybe in the downstairs of Old No 7 as part of his tour around the pubs and clubs of Barnsley if anyone things that a good idea?
What are the club/police/stewards going to do about knobs who bring flares/smoke canisters into the ground?
why is the ticket office/ club shop closed at full time? Surely this is a prime time to sell, especially when we have won the match
Is the club any further down the road with regards to the ideas for improving the matchday experience put forward by the Supporters' Trust? Has the club a date in mind whereby a new scoreboard will be up and running? Would there be a possibility of looking at better, safer traffic management at the end of a match?
The smoke bombs on Setdi weren't just a pain in the arse, some people were hit with them, while others suffered breathing problems. Have the club made efforts to see if these people are OK? If not, what the ******* hell are they playing at?
Its a smoke bomb for Christ sake.. are people ok? Used to be more smoke than that in the old brewery stand the club didn't have to check on peoples health then did they. Barmy
Can travelators be installed on the streets from the flyover? They can be nackering to walk up after a few pints, and then a defeat coming back. In all seriousness, scoreboard and concourse TVs seem to be in motion so the issues are really on the pitch now. I would like to ask him what the chances of a proper bar in Oakwell are, somewhere that is worth going to before and after a match, but I realise it would be very expensive to do this right. (ie following the example of places like MK Dons where they have basically built a pub into the ground with a hint of club features on the walls).
Can we re-visit the lift question in the east stand upper for the OAPs and those struggling to climb the stairs? I appreciate it was asked of the previous administration, and the issue was one of H&S - but their (the new management) interpretation of the rules may be different.
could not agree more Its nice for someone to call them smoke bombs and not ****ing flares. Winging gits
If people struggle to climb upstairs why sit in the east stand upper I bet Ben Mansford laughs his head of at some on the questions
Are the club interested in buying the old Grove Street school site? It would be a pity if new houses were built there, would stop future development.
Honestly there are quite a few people that have had there seats since the stand opened (and it's understandable they don't want to give it up) and are getting on a bit now. They used to be able to use the lift (years ago) and it would just make things a little easier for them. A part from that, the best seats in the ground are in the east upper. It makes no odds to me either way, but I'm just thinking of some of the other people that could do with it. As a side note, is it really right that a fit healthy person who are in the Exec boxes gets to use it to climb half the height of the stand but an old man going all the way doesn't?
have you ever considered writing equal opportunities & disability policies? your talents are wasted here
So people go through all that pain every match for the view. Think they need get their priorities right and look after their health
What's taking so long with the new concourse TVs? They have been knackered for months yet new ones haven't been put up. I can understand the scoreboard taking a while because it's going to be much bigger than the one we have now. But for TVs surely it's a case of just unplugging the old ones and plugging in some new ones? I don't get the delay.
