Doesn't sound like they made a formal approach like we did, so it could turn messy, but the BBC say that he was offered a new contract by Inverness CT which has remained unsigned for several months. Sounds like he used us to get a better contract up there, but the better contract wasn't better enough!
So we could have lost all those games before the Huddersfield match as it didn't matter cos t only mattered what palace did for our fate
If we hadn't picked up points against Watford, Cardiff, Forest, Palace, Huddersfield, Leicester, Hull, etc. we would've gone down.
The same one we would have been in if flcka and co hadn't bet Leeds,Hull, Watford, Reading, etc and drawn against Forrest and Cardiff
What if Palace hadn't scored but Wednesday hadn't rolled over in the game before that? Ifs and buts. We got enough points to stay up. We got a lot more than you'd usually need. I don't understand why any Barnsley fan would try and belittle our achievement at the back end of last season.
No matter what the team's record was in the run up to the last game, and yes they had managed to get the advantage over the other teams, win and we stayed up, the fact of the matter was I, and every single fan in the away end, realised we were relegated until!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if steven foster hadn't scored that late goal at cardiff, which division would we have kicked off in on August 3rd if jason scotland hadn't scored that late goal at blackpool, which division would we have kicked off in on August 3rd if danny rose hadn't scored that late goal at ipswich, which division would we have kicked off in on August 3rd etc
Whatever you think about Flitcroft at the moment you can't take away from him what he achieved last season. Over 46 games we accrued more points than three other teams. End of. It doesn't matter when and where the points were obtained - they all count the same.
