Cant argue with that, but I would have thought they'd choose Courthouse cos they are probably the biggest away fans branch in Tarn.
I've already mentioned why, in my opinon, they would have chosen this pub for The Reds Tour. Can't people who go on the buses from Courtyard go to other pubs in Barnsley?
Why should they? How many coaches does the Number 7 take to away games? Except for the select few on here who go in everyone else thinks its an awful ale house
gally,i take your opinion on board but i can tell you that people who use the biggest supporters club in barnsley are taking this as a massive snub..
It's irrelevant whether the courthouse reds can visit the other pubs gally. The fact remains that the 'pub' that hosts the biggest supporters club in Barnsley is excluded from the 'pub tour', which is ludicrous if you ask me, how many coaches are the other 7 pubs running to Millwall then and every other away game for that matter?
Once again we prove that it doesn't matter what steps the club take to try to reach out to the community it's not going to be good enough for some. Does it really matter which pub in the town centre the club chooses? The fact is they are putting themselves out there so shouldn't we concentrate on the positive? As Gally says, the club is working with the No.7 on another project, hence it became the natural choice. However, I would expect them to reconsider this if the public reception is positive, as the downstairs bar in the No.7 isn't particularly big. I would be more concerned with the areas they are visiting, rather than the specific pubs, so it would be nice if they could venture west of the motorway. If not, so be it, but they could scratch the Tommy Tred one in favour of Penistone/Silkstone/Dodworth, with Poggy being pretty close to town for the *whichever pub it eventually takes place in* town centre one.
Ok. I will flag that with the club. What about we run the BBS night and at the Courthouse for courthouse people as well?
