Who was the last former Red to be called up to the England Squad after leaving us?

    On the back of Jay Rodriguez's (although on loan) call up. Was it David Hirst? We've had a few former full internationals, Geoff Thomas etc..

    Can't remember any full England internationals after Hirsty. Had a few for other countries once they left us - Mick McCarthy, Jordan Rhodes, Gerry Taggart etc spring to mind.

    David Watson, Adie Moses and Martin Bullock all won caps for England under 21s while they were with us, but I think that's the best we can do since Hirtsy was called up. We've also had a number of players represent England at younger age groups, but I don't think anyone, even loan players, have gone on to make the full squad after leaving us.

    I'm pretty sure that John Beresford was called up to the squad, but pulled out through injury.

    ooh Gerry Gerry was with us when he received caps, same time as Gary Fleming. Sure there was a 3rd too for NI.

    John Beresford played England B games, don't think he was in full england squad.
