Brilliant quote after the discussion in midweek. Also in the article in the Sunday Mirror talks about nowhere loves Arsenal and the premier league.
Do you think maybe the questions were all aimed around Arsenal, London and the Premiership? He's not exactly going to call London a shithole considering he's just moved there to play for one of their clubs is he? Unless he fancies himself as the next Georgi Hristov
London isn't even the most beautiful city in London. What a shock, a new signing saying that he loves the city.
You can dodge a jest ion if you aren't happy answer it. He would have had media training and told how to dodge a question without quotes like that. Just listen to barnsley player or radio sheffields audio boo. They can dodge a question from 18
I never said he wanted to dodge any questions. He would've been asked questions on the relative subjects and given the answers that fans want to hear.
He's right, it is. It's incredibly beautiful, not just the bits on the postcards. It can also be one of the ugliest, and not just to look at. It's a fascinating place, that you can never fully get your head around. It's not for the small minded though, evidently....
As you seem to be in a debating mood. What are your personal experiences of London, and life in it? Similarly, what are your experiences of other European and/or international cities? I'm interested to know what you are basing your personal opinions and comparisons on.
?????? Out of interest have you ever been to London? I'm always amazed at how great the architecture is, I'm pretty well travelled and it's comparable in beauty to anywhere I've been.
I prefer living in a small, quiet village. However, I wouldn't seriously suggest it's better than living in a large city. It simply suits me better. Others prefer & appreciate city life and everything it has to offer, which is fair enough.
Not been to London really apart for football but I've been to a lot of places. I've been to Spain a few times. Portugal Mexico Thailand Kenya America Orlando, las vagas and a few others.
Obviously holiday resorts don't show you the real side to a place, but some people prefer that. My opinion of London improved massively when I went down for England vs. Brazil in February, but I can name plenty of cities I prefer, personal opinion.
That's why I live in Highgate Kev, near the woods and the heath. It can be a bit snotty round here, but it's quite tranquil for London and does have a real village community life. When, not if - I leave London, it will be more about leaving Highgate, than the capital. Then it's to North Yorks for me, if I could work out how I'd make my living up there, I'd go now!!
