all those on here who thought the football under him was boring, are you still glad we got rid? He also got the most points we have had since our return to this level, not bad really was he
It was early days, and he was starting to build, based on Shackell at the heart of a solid back four. Someone remind me how that is going for Burnley?
You raise a good point Jim. But he's hardly pulled any trees up at Huddersfield, who have superior budget and set up to ours. Personally I didn't think he was that bad. But can see the point of view about the football. Very difficult to watch at times. Mind you it is at the moment.
I really liked him, but I think at the time the money wasn't there. Keef was willing to work on a much smaller budget. & when his best players were sold we were f@@ked… we all know this. We have had a bigger budget this season & with the performances & the expectation we are understandably f@@ked off. That is where we are.
By far the best manager we've had in recent times. The board well and truly ****ed up letting him go. Most certain that we'd be a top half championship team under him.
He got one more point than we got last season. And I can't remember anyone wanting rid. In fact most people were disappointed when he did leave. I found his brand of football particularly dour but I always stuck up for him and thought he was doing a decent job. But he clearly felt he couldn't continue to progress on that budget which was his right to choose. Whatever the details of him leaving were he at the very least expressed major concern about our ability to survive on that budget. And lets be right, megabucks Huddersfield only stopped up on the last day last season.
Was it worse than now, in your opinion? I know which I would prefer having witnessed that cr@p yesterday.
Worse than any football ive watched including non BFC. Had i been older id have nodded off every match.
He went of his own accord apparently, would have been a totally different path we'd have taken had he stayed - we probably wouldn't have had the great run of late 2011 but doubt we'd have been in any relegation trouble either. It would have all been rather boring!
