Absolutely no doubt about it this sholud be the new club crest

For me its everything you could hope for in a football club crest, plain, simple, classy, instantly recognizable, it looks bang up to date with a classy classic look, what more could you ask for,


and the best thing about it is it screams Barnsley Football Club at you the moment you see it

 

I'm absolutely gutted that this will never be our Club badge, i really honestly feel this is best Barnsley badge i've ever seen, in fact i'd go as far as to say it would be up there in the top 5 club crests in the football league where we to use it, its not going to be everyones cup of tea but for me its truly awesome

I don't really like it. To be honest, no offence intended to archey and Supertyke, when I first saw it I thought it was awful.

However, and it's a bloody big however, it looks very good on the shirt. It just looks right. As the whole point of a football team's crest is to look good on the kit they wear then it's very hard to argue against this.

It needs a professional hand on it to sort out the lettering and the graphic, but yeah, that looks like it belongs.

 

Is there any significance in the arrow pointing downwards?

Don't understand why everyone is knocking these badges up, the clubs decided on the designs and won't be moved by 300 regular posters/viewers on a forum.

By the way, I don't really care too much what logo/badge we end up with. The more important thing for me is moving UP the league table......and quick.

Didn't the club say "the fans will have a say in what the badge will look like"?

In reality the club has designed the badges and wants us to pick the best of a bad bunch. The fans had no say what so ever.

 

Don't like the badge at first clance, but looks good on the shirt....I choose that!

 

Agreed, it's like these music awards where you get to vote for "album of the year" but you are only given a shortlist to choose from.

I like that badge.
