I'm talking about when i've seen the formation played live Whitey and when ive seen it do well or mostly not do well. One of the last times i saw a non Barnsley team play it was Liverpool at Arsenal and Arsenal took it apart but southampton dismantlement it.

Also Whitey you have to get away from we also used it last season. We didn't We used a lot of different formations last season. The best example of that was at Blackpool in the win when Barnsley used 3 different formations that day getting away from the only formation that Blackpool dominated, 352.

I'm not trying to educate anyone i can assure you on that but i watch a lot of football and see a lot of things.

I enjoy reading your posts, pal. Nowt personal. Just disagree massively on this 3-5-2 issue.

We're a better equipped squad for that system.

4-4-2 is certainly not the answer, and your suggestion of 4-2-3-1 would mean dropping COG or Pedersen and that would be lunacy.


But whichever system we employ, we need to get back to the up-tempo pressing game of last season, and we need to drop Kennedy.

Agree with the Tempo, but whatever formation we use certain players aren't in form like last season. Etuhu been the big one. The last time he played he was flat. Didn't run with the ball and offered nothing between the line. Fox doesn't help either.

Hope i never see 541 again though.

Nearly 36000 views, you should get some Google Adsense on it, that amount of views and the average advert click ratio is worth a couple of hundred quid at least.

36,000 over 15 months, though. If I had 36,000 per article I'd be laughing.

 

Enjoyed it as usual. Well written and most opinions factually based. Shows a real dearth of any sort of creation in central midfield and how much we will miss Mellis. I also think a fluid 5-3-2 /3-5--2 is the way forward though we would need to either recall RNL or obtain a LWB from somewhere.
