Haven't seen it mentioned, although I'm sure someone will have picked up on it. I know a few people don't rate him, but that fact that he scores goals on the international stage against decent teams (Denmark this time) shows that he's a good striker. I like him; good touch, hard work, good link up play, goal scorer. What more can we ask for? I genuinely think we'd make Messi look *****.
Re: Quality striker Goal can be seen here: http://www.fotball.no/ He misses a decent chance too, although it looks like the keeper saved it.
Yes, I started a thread on the subject. I commented on the fact that he played 90 minutes for his country, and scored, yet our manager sees fit to take him off every match, usually in favour of Jason Scotland. This HAS to change - he's a goalscorer so there is no reason to take him off. He should be getting fit enough by now
Re: Quality striker Nice one cheers. Keeper just gets a touch to that - but he'll score in any team that creates chances because he likes to play on the shoulder of the last defender - he's sharp both in pace and thought so gets himself onto a goal scoring chance regularly - when he's not toiling wide or in midfield to get the ball when he plays for us....
What more could we ask? For our manager to leave him on for 90mins. He will get goals if we show some belief in him.
I don't think its 'some' people that don't rate him. I can only recall one person saying we should get shut of him because 'he is *****'. You're spot on though, a club like ours can't ask for any better, I think we're lucky to have him.
Re: Quality striker Love the website. What do you think Logg Inn means? Anyone got a Norwegian dictionary?
Re: Quality striker Brilliant player for us a real coup for us if only we had any midfielders able to create chances.
Re: Quality striker You mean if only we played* the midfielders we have who can create chances for him. *Or played in their most influencial positions.
Marcus Pedersen scored on Friday To prove he's not a donkey Stuck two fingers up at Nudge And called him a gret Numpty Yankee doodle, if you dint get it
Pedersen is one of those players who will score tons of goals in a quality side but will have to work his balls off in more 'struggling' clubs. At Barnsley, he's going to have to do a lot of running and maybe make a few of his own chances as we haven't got the quality in the midfield on a consistent basis at the moment. I for one think if he impresses and gets near ten goals and gets a few assists, whether we want him next season or not, he'll be at a top Championship side bagging a goal every couple of games as he's got that quality. Scoring against Denmark away from home is an achievement for a Championship player never mind a Barnsley loanee.
Re: Quality striker Don't get why people say that. Donny game three different players put a ball right into his path during the game that he just failed to get on the end of. Great striker though and if he starts tonight which is live on BBC2 Scotland at 6 pm he could be worth a little bet at around 2/1 to score anytime.
Re: Quality striker You're right about the bet. Though I'm not sure a ball miles ahead that he's no real chance of getting but makes a heroic effort to reach narrowly failing constitutes a chance myself
