    My heart bleeds for you lot - we have had well over a foot of snow and it's -22C here today (with windchill). Yes, this is western Canada, but this is not supposed to happen until January. Seriously though, go out and enjoy the snow when it comes- if you've got young kids and can get a sledge (or even a tea tray), it's the best fun they will have for months - with fresh air and great exercise to boot. Just don't complain that it's cold. Please.

    Personally, I'd love us to have a 'proper' winter. But I also feel for those who have to go out and make a living. I don't think it will be as bad as they are making out.

    In fact... it's a bit parky now. Brrrrrr.

    Thing is Canada is geared up for it
    You can walk miles across a city centre without even going outside. No wonder youre not cold. I have a car that skates on a 1% incline in frost. This country just can't cope with snow.

    They have bridges connecting streets/ buildings in the city centres, so that people don't have to be outside when it's too cold.

    Fired is absolutely right, we do have an extensive "skywalk" that is 15 feet above ground - see http://calgaryplus15.com/

    However, I don't go downtown so it's no flippin use to me. So, yes I am freezing when I go outside. Not looking forward to picking up the kids in an hour's time.

    I've just google'd the weather in Calgary. -14! I had no idea it was that bad. Lows of up to -20 in the coming days. One day of that here would finish us.
