I was fully behind Flitcroft after his heroics last season, and I really thought we were going to turn a corner and start challengeing for a mid table position in the league, something we have failed to do since being promoted back to the championship, which in itself is a tradgedy.

Unfortunately we have witnessed our worst league start in what......40 years?
We have the worst defence in the league, we are toothless going forward, and our away record is a shambles.
Milwall were there for the taking, and with a bit of positivity, we would have got the three points we desperately need.

At this point in the season, I feel its time for some fresh input from the sidelines. The current regime is going to get us relegated, and if we act now, we might just save our season.
For me we need someone with pedigree, someone with experience to give these current players a much needed kick up the arse.

    Totally agree.

If Warnock could be persuaded to do a job at least to then end of the season I'd give it to him.

A lot of people might not like his personality, but:

    1. His is an ex Tyke
    2. He did a magnificent job recently at Palace & brought through a lot of their youngsters.
    3. Would have the balls to play our young players & give them encouragement.
    4. Would play players in their proper positions. He is very good at setting out a team.
    5. Would sort out the endemic lack of fitness at the club, that is leading to second half collapses & a string of injuries.

On the downside he would have to win over some fans who associate him with Sheff U & Leeds, but if results
came that wouldn't take too long & he is not one to worry about popularity contests.

Not saying he would take it mind, but I think he might have one more job in him.

I agree with offspring and the points he makes. JP I just cannot agree with you regarding Warnock, there are a million managers I'd rather see at Oakwell before him.

Not in disagreement on the points you raise but my concern would be that he is a bit tired in his enthusiasm and his motivation of players etc as that is what I think went wrong at Leeds

    I agree totally.
I am a Flicker fan, and the guy is a grafter, but it does not win matches.
I think he would do well in lower leagues but not championship level.
He was given a pot of money to spend, and rushed out and bought a load of players who were never going to do it for him. Jennings, Fox, Cofie, Jones, Rooney, and Nyatanga not fit. We had the Nucleus of a good team at end of last year, we needed a couple of class players that's all. We have young Digby, and RNL and young Rose, and these should have been nurtured into the team. Then there is the question of tactics. We are not playing championship football full stop. You can watch any match on Sky and they all attack as a unit, we do not. We do not fill the box with any amount of players. Our defence is hindered by forwards and midfield who get in the way of our defenders doing their job.
Opposite defence do not have a problem with our attack, because there is not one there. Hence we will plod through the season merrily with tha same old talk, same tactics, same favourites, and eventually when it is two late we will go down. We are firm favourites now. We need to get an experienced manager in for to get us out of trouble even if it is only short term. Then at end of year if we have survived to look for someone who has a good track record. Sorry Flicker, but it is the truth mate.
