Someone pulled him back with his shirt apparently but he fell forward, think it was the Ponty sniper that did for him.
Blatant grab of the shirt on a bloke running away from goal - completely needless. Theatrical fall no doubt - but if you get caught doing it, its a penalty.
On sky it looked like Zigic was pulling Perkins about a bit then Perkins reacted. Not sure of a shirt pull though
haven't seen the replay, but looked a nailed on pull from mvoto, from where i was. everyone round me called it as well, before the ref even blew
You *****, this is a genuine post, I didn't see anything and my eyes were wide open, neither did others around me hence this post. is that ok for you *********.
Of course you saw it, thats why you asked why it was given, or really perhapd you werent watching. ..
I asked a serious question and got a crap reply so I obliged. Seriously I'm not angry or even hurting. Disappointed about the result and performance and feeling sorry for Flicker. Whilst at the same time feeling a little excited about our next appointment. Whoever, gets it the players will have to step up to the mark, for their own future's sake if nothing else. Hopefully results will follow.
they had to pull the trigger now. if we've any chance, it's to give the new man a couple of weeks to assess the squad, and do some serious reshuffling in the transfer window.
I didn't see it. I've been told by a number of people the pull on his shirt was pretty blatant, but all I saw was Zigic throw himself to the ground. Lots to keep you eye on in a packed penalty area and I missed it.
If it was Mvoto then it has been coming and I am glad it came on a day when it didn't affect the result. He is a bugger for pulling shirts.
Sadly it's what all these mindless morons on MOTD condone now. M'Voto did tug Zigic's shirt, then released it, then, approximately 2 seconds later, Zigic threw himself forwards. I thought that's what happened at the time, and i've just had it confirmed by SSN. Apparently that's a foul these days, it's the unwritten rule, any sort of contact, regardless of the severity, and the striker must throw themselves to the floor. So yes, as the 'experts' say, it was a foul. I was shouting at the referee as I thought he wasn't going to book Zigic for diving, I couldn't believe it when I realised he'd given a penalty.
