Relieved at the end of a 2.1/2 year nightmare I would imagine. You never know, he might get a few games in his testimonial year after all.
Wonder if bobby wants the job now , player manager . He would lead by example and will one day manage us surely
What qualifications experience has he to be a good manager ? I am aware of none . Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk
I'm not putting him forward for the job, but using your theory Wilson and Clarke wouldn't have been appointed.
Wilson had a year's experience as assisant to Anderson. Anderson himself is a better comparison - he had none.
Here, I'm not putting him forward. But to use the "no experience" excuse won't wash with me. I'm a Barnsley supporter. Two of our most successful managers had "no experience". I've a blog you can read tomorrow afternoon. My opinions are in that. Feel free to pick them (and Archey's/Barnsley66's) to pieces. Night, fellow red. You Reds.
I'd actually be quite happy for him to follow the Wilson route of spending some time as assistant, or on the coaching staff, and perhaps be in contention next time.
I'm not arsed. Not putting him forward. Don't believe he wants anything like that right now. He still thinks he's good enough to be a regular starter. And I agree.
Mellon is part of the regime, just like flicker was before him. Don't expect him to get any more game time under Mellon.
If Hassell gets the job then it will reflect the limited options open to us. I would support him fully but he'd be getting the job on sentiment not merit. That's not to say it couldn't work but it'd be horrible to watch when people turn on him, as our fans do way too quickly.
think bobby will def manage us one day , but he still has a lot to offer on the pitch and we need him in the team . but it could be a good time to involve him in the set up as assistant .
