Allan Clarke's record in his second spell - some mid-table finishes and a very near miss with the play-offs in 88-89 (I think). Great football played in general despite atrocious crowds.

Some mid-table finishes and good football sounds like a good deal to me right now. A flirtation with the play-offs and I'd be in dreamland. There's only one Danny Wilson. And we need him back at Oakwell ASAP.

    ^^ Gets My Vote ^^

Danny Wilson's Red and White Army.

Gets me excited again just thinking about it. :)

Enough time has passed. If Danny had never been at Oakwell he would be a great candidate based on his record. I'd welcome him back if he is our choice and he wants to come.

A absolute YES from me! Even if he couldn't keep us up this season, I'd trust him to get us back up next season.

I haven't really got an opinion either way with Danny.

But I'm sure we will have other options, probably better - Phelan remains my favoured route (no management experience, but surely has had the best education process available, from Sir Alex).

Wasn't at all impressed with the way he left us...but if it keeps Appleton away from Oakwell, I'll go for it.

Recently though we've given the job to someone without experience in the league and look what happens.

Scrape by staying up then the next season things aren't going well so they get the sack.

I now think what we need is an experienced manager at this level that we can give some stability to.
