I wish people wouldn't just make stuff up to suit their argument, or if they're unsure, do a bit of research. Danny Wilson did not get Hartlepool relegated, he got them promoted. Hartlepool were relegated to league 2 at the end of the 2005/06 season. Danny Wilson was appointed in June 2006. In his first season, the 2006/07 season, Hartlepool finished 2nd in league 2 and were promoted. The following season they finished mid-table in league 1. Danny was inexplicable sacked in December 2008 with Hartlepool in the top half of the table and pushing for a play-off place. Their chairmen thought they should be doing better. After his dismissal Hartlepool's form collapsed and they finished the season just 1 point clear of relegation. You reap what you sew.

When Danny took over at Swindon a couple of weeks later they were rooted in the relegation zone having won only 4 league games. The form picked up and in the last 10 games they won 5 and drew 3. They finished the season in 15th position, 3 points and 4 positions ahead of Hartlepool. The following season Danny took Swindon to the play-offs.

It's nonsense that he always gets jobs where he's expected to do well. He does well against the odds, like with us.

Bristol were expected to do well. He took them in to the play-offs in two consecutive years, getting to the final in the second year after missing out on promotion by 1 point. His team lost in the final, so he was sacked. The following year they didn't make the play-offs. Again, you reap what you sew. Look at Sheff Utd since he was sacked for proof of that.
