Why not... Fell out with the game while at Bristol City a few years ago apparently. Gone into a director's role at Crawley and now maybe fancies going back into management (2nd tier of English football no less) - makes sense Lots of experience, good record.

Re: I think we should go for Curbishley I was at Liverpool University with Steve Coppell, in the Economics Department in the mid-1970's (and actually played against him in a departmental game, which he should not have been playing in as he'd just made the breakthrough to the full England squad), I always followed his career and saw his last game for England at Wembley when he got his career-ending injury. I've always had time for him. A decent bloke. BUT I don't think he's in the running.
