Just like to share this with you. We have a wonder kid playing for us ATM. His name is Ryan Gauld, he is only 17 but is being know as Mini Messi as he is so talented. Recently BIG clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus among others have been keeping a very close eye on him. Up to now Gauldy has stated that he is perfectly happy at United and has no desire to move ATM. It has been rumoured that the base line for a transfer fee would be no less than 6m. Hey ho Man Utd enter the bidding with 3m + the promise of 3 friendlies. HaHa and they call themselves a big club. Eh right. Chancers more like. I think we have told them to go away and think again. Cheeky B@st@rds. TBH Were United to accept that insulting offer I'd be very disappointed. And as for friendlies against them, well they can stuff that. I mean who exactly would in their right mind turn up to watch that pile of overpaid bunch of fannies? Big Club My Arse.
Well you drove all the way down to Barnsley to do exactly that on Saturday Hope you had a good trip other than the football fella.
They will be toying with you Ian. See if there's any proper offers in January. We had the supposed offers for the likes of Stones and butterfield but it was everton, Wigan and Fulham who put the money on the table. On the player, he was one I signed up in a Real Madrid save on FM13 or was it 12.
Not a clue mate but it wouldna cover the other 3m they dinna want tae pay. What is that all about anyway? Send their second string up three times and let us pay for the privilege of making up the transfer fee. Dinna think so mate. TBH my money will remain in my pocket.
So that's what the young'uns get up to nowadays - should be out fingering lasses and drinking mad dog
I was doing things like that at 12, people see a fancy turn now and start raving about players - lets judge him in 7 years time see were he is
A bit of a disparaging comment there Cricket. So you were doing things like that at 12? Well done my friend. So who were you playing for at 17? TBH I really very much doubt Barca, Real or Man U were after your signature of course I could be wrong. Anyway the point of the post was not about how good a player Ryan Gauld is but more about the arrogance of Man U in offering a paltry amount for a player of greater value. They have just embarrassed themselves by getting the knock back.
Between he ages of 13-17 I was enjoying the cider and mad dog weekends, bit of hedge hopping and getting smelly fingers. Happy Days! Back to your point on Man Utd its happening all the time, buying young kids for as small a fee as they can then ruin their career by not playing them. Too many players chase the money though so don't be surprised to see him leave for not as much as you quoted
Yeah Cricket you could be right but only last week he did an interview in which he talked of how happy he was here and was more interested in continuing his football education at Tannadice than moving. When pressed about eventually moving he was asked where he saw himself in 10 years and he replied somewhere abroad as he'd like to sample life and culture abroad. I think the interviewer was a bit miffed that he didna say he'd like to end up at Celtic.
If you didn't come home with vomit on your shoes and the smell of scampi fries wafting around the lounge while your parents watch telly then it's been a poor night.
