totally. they only have to walk 100 yards to see the sandwich shop in operation, to see the opportunity for food. now i love that sandwich shop, and they have that place running like clockwork. but ultimately i'd rather put my money into the Club. obviously i wouldn't go anywhere near lindley's, to run it.
usual lager/guinness/cider, but they also have acorn in bottles. bout £3 a bottle. pie and peas, pasties and stuff. i don't think it's lindley's but i could be wrong
Surely if it's elf and safety, the capacity should be >150 as the elf brigade will be relatively small (in height and body weight terms). In fact, we could have an elf throwing contest onto the pitch. Anyone who throws an elf over the half way line, gets a gallon of ale. Come on Ben......reight plan.
They have cans of Fosters & John Smiths, bottles of Acorn bitter but sometimes Acorn blonde. Some rather poor looking pies. Staff are usually pleasant, but that may be because not many people go in! The early Saturday footy is usually on the tv's, but earlier this season on a midweek game they just had BBC1 on ffs! They used to have Acorn hand pulled available - the whole reason we started going in was because we were sick of drinking cans of Smiths in the East Upper, then mid way through last season or the one before they got rid of the draught and went bottles and cans only......and draught now back available in East Upper.
There's a large projected screen and then multiple 50 and 42 inch plasmas No shortage of viewing areas for the match
Yeah. Fair play to Ben it was obvious that the other system wasn't working. Having 150 members for a 150 capacity venue was never ever going to be busy. We pointed this out to Don before it even opened. Good to see Ben was on to this straight away. There should be a bit of atmosphere in there when people get to know about it. Not sure if its been mentioned but kids will be allowed now as well I believe. This was also a major sticking point with Don and something we'd asked him to change.
Like I said earlier it`s definately a step in the reight direction. Doorman may have a few problems like if its first 150 only.
I never had a problem with membership - just make it free. If its a success, I imagine that would be the next step. But I get why he's gone open house, in order to simplify the whole thing for now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
