One of the teachers I work with, knows Bobby Hassel, who has supposedly said that Flitcroft was going on Saturday win, lose or draw, and that Wilson has already been in advanced talks prior to that . I know it's another...I know someone who know someone blah blah. But, he's a straight talking guy who wouldn't say it if it hadn't happened. Either way it wouldn't surprise me.
I'd be suprised if the 'new regime' wouldn't have had someone lined up already, unlike previously. We've had debacles re recruitment before with folk turning us down, changing minds etc. You watch, first target will be in. Nailed on.
Load of ********, that. They were backing Flitcroft. But after Saturday's display enough was enough. No way were they sacking him had we won. As for Bobby saying owt like that... really? Nope.
Spot on. There was no alternative after the shambles on Saturday but had we won I have no doubt that Flicker would still be our manager.
Bobby did not say that to the teacher. I will put £500 on it !! Not saying it is not true, but it was not Bobby that said it !!
I can only pass on what I'm told, and that's that Bobby has said nothing of the sort to anyone. Unless he's a liar. I also know that (up until Saturday) Danny hadn't been approached for the job. But it's up to folk to believe what they want. Be boring otherwise. I still believe I'll be an astronaut for NASA.
I am saying that there is not a chance in heck of it being true , that Bobby told anybody anything!!! Never been as certain in my entire life over something !! In fact I will back my car, boat and kids on it !
Just passing on what I was told, by someone who had absolutely no reason to lie to me, us discussing it keeps things interesting. BTW I'm not saying that what I was told IS true, but if it is is wouldn't surprise me. Also, I do know a few ex players, and believe me they've told me some juicy gossip in the past, not that they'd know owt now though. Pity.
